The Belgian gelding Rex impressed us greatly with his jumping power and exceptional carefulness. At the age of seven, he competed in courses up to 140 cm in Belgium, and after the season, he was purchased by Liponova Equestrian. He shone right at his first competition in his new colors, completing both courses flawlessly and winning the S class after a faultless jump-off.* Rex not only possesses outstanding jumping ability, but his pedigree also deserves special attention. His sire is the stallion Kannan, who competed at the 160 cm level. The maternal lineage is particularly interesting as well. His dam, Karmelita van den Dries (Diamant de Semilly x Darco), competed at the 155 cm level herself. This mare comes from an excellent family—her dam produced three 160 cm-level horses, including Karmelita herself with a performance of 155 cm, as well as three other horses that were successful at the 145 and 150 cm levels.d ready to meet the expectations of his rider, making him an excellent partner for the future.

The 2025 season was Rex’s first under our colors. We are very pleased that he progressed to jumping courses at the 145 cm level. Throughout the year, he completed a large number of classes up to 140 cm, most of them faultlessly and with placings. He also competed in two Grand Prix classes within the Czech Jumping Cup series, finishing both without a single penalty point. He even won the second one — the Grand Prix of Litomyšl — after delivering the fastest clear round in the jump-off. The fact that an eight-year-old Rex won a Grand Prix pleasantly surprised us. He demonstrated his excellent character again at the end of the season at the Prague PlayOffs in the O2 arena. After just a single training session, he entered the competition with a new rider, Václav Staněk. Despite having little time to get to know each other, the pair produced several very good rounds and finished fifth in the 130 cm class on the first day. It is also worth mentioning that Rex made his debut in the dressage arena this season. In L-level tests he consistently scored above 60% and achieved several nice placings.
